Well, my theory on photographs is that if it isn't beautiful, it must be art or journalism. Intriguing picture; I can't quite figure out what is going on here... I want to say this is a sludge pond, but I suspect it is a very small rivulet of clear water going over a drop in elevation. Technically, a blurred focus in the front of a picture tends to distract me, and the eye is drawn to the light areas---so maybe a step to the left would be effective. The bright spots in the back of the picture are good for pulling the scene together.
I like it. Dirty is right for sure! lol But it makes ya stop and think, and obviously thats exactly what you did when you took the shot, cuz a lot of people would just avoid a subject this...well...dirty! I did notice the blur in the front of the shot, but I wonder if that was from something being on the lens? Not sure. But otherwise I like that there is a little plant life growing in all that sludge too, that was the first thing I noticed! And the blue sky reflected is cool too. Well done.
I enjoy dark as well as studies in textures. I like the color and reflections here. But find it possibly too dark to see the details well. The plant I see implies (to me)there may be more there to see. Keep experimenting!
