I actually really like this, despite the soft focus and muted colors. It's calming and atmospheric. What I would suggest is that you might be able to lighten this up just a bit -- it would make this picture really pop.

I disagree. If lightened, it would make the soft focus look like killer headache inducing blur. The soft focus in the dim light makes the shot very relaxing as it is right now. I think it would have been neat to catch a firefly in this shot as a tiny bit of glow.

I agree on the soft focus and muted colors - they work nicely. I actually wish the flower just wasn't there at all. As it is it's a distraction from the rest of the image. It needs more light and it needs to be more in frame and not cut off at the bottom. I guess I'm 50/50 on this one -

I like this one quite bit. Turned vertically, I could easily see it as a book cover. That's what I thought of when I first saw it. I think the soft focus and darker colors are what make this work. Nice one!
