Bravery is being the only one who knows you're afraid.
This is not eerie in my eyes, but rather ... quite intricate and detailed.
Messes a bit with my head, but ... I like that kind of thing. :oP
I will go out on a limb and make a suggestion to render at a larger size and then try resizing down. Some times it can assist in creating a 'sharper' image.
No slight against your offering here ... just a thought.
