The Hubble telescope will soon be destroyed intentionally and relegated to the dustbin of history. Its magnificent images of the wonders of deep space will eventually become quaint and curious relics, having been surpassed by the newer technologies of the day. In the meantime, we can enjoy the spectacle of Hubble, because no one before us has ever been blessed by the glory of the heavens quite this way, and no one will ever again be so idealistically enthralled. From a NASA image with PhotoShop enhancements.

Excellent tribute to the Hubble telescope Tracy. You are so right as my grandkids will look at me and say ?hubble?, don't you mean bubble? Technology improves or so they say! Thanks for the trip down memory lane! Good work. :~)

I hold it true that thoughts are things; They're endowed with bodies, breath and wings: And that we send them forth to fill the world with good results, or ill. That which we call our secret thought speeds forth to earth's remotest spot, leaving it's blessings or it's woes like tracks behind it as it goes. We build our future, thought by thought for good or for ill, yet know it not. Yet so the universe was wrought . Thought is another name for fate. Choose then thy destiny and wait, for Love brings Love and Hate brings Hate. - Henry Van Dyke.

It will be a sad day indeed when the Hubble meets its fiery end. All I can say it that they better get another one up not long afterwards. Good edit.
