Early one morning as the fog rolled off the Solent i spotted her out in mid channel ... i sat and watched her for a while ... then she vanished in front of me

This ship has the feel that it came straight out of Her Majesty’s Royal Navy in the 1800’s. Very nice.

I'm having a problem getting this one to enlarge fully at 1152x864. Perhaps it is only because so many people are trying to download it! I will try again later, for sure.
This is a lovely picture, makes (will make) a lovely desktop. I wonder about the apparent darker cloud directly above the main mast...what is going on there, and had you considered cloning it out? Also, I wonder if you have considered playing some post-photo games with this one...fading it out even more perhaps? This one is definitely a keeper, as your download rate testifies.

I was captivated immediately by the blues and grays. Almost fog-like effect. The bark ring above the mast head bothered my too and is hard not to notice. But you do have a very good photo here and one that is going to be on a lot of computer wallpapers shortly.

I agree, a very nice capture. I especially appriciate how ou left room in the frame for the ship to "sail into." A lot of people leave little or no room in front of moving objects which can make them feel claustrophobic or look like they're about to run into a wall. Well done.
