self-portrait Perspective Beyond it is the vast unknown, above it is the sky. For some, it sparks a sense of awe, for others, just a sigh. Constructed of materials that correlate with strength, it's nearly unassailable approached by width or length. Look closer! There's a way around or through, or simply this: Tear down the wall you've built between your yearnings and your bliss. © 2008 Mary Boren

Nicely done. I know there is more meaning to this portrait than first meets the eye. I have faved it to study it some more. Again, nice work. :o)

Very moody, mysterious pic. Although the candle flame reflections are nice, I think too much of the acerage on this photo is squandered. Yes, it raises a lot of questions...why the darkness on the face, why that mountainous background, what is the reflecting agent, and so on... Questions that really cannot be answered.

a light in the dark..
reflections..are mirrored affections..
life is of those things, gone away..
remains now..hidden away..
so be the wanderings..
now the world be sold away..

YES! my own personal darkness- for so long, now a light at the end of my tunnel.
