Why do the pictures come out square when the lens is round??

Like the simplicity and composition.
Caveats?
Some digital noise present. Which presents the conundrum ... do 'I' ... run this photo through some noise reduction software/program or filters? Or, not?
If you don't have access to such software, here is some freeware:
"Best Free Photo Noise Reduction Software"
That said, challenging lighting conditions handled well. And reiterating ... it is a most pleasant scene, well-composed ... to view.
