Bud on ice! Or rather, IN ice. You certainly found the storm's silver lining, didn't you? Or crystal lining...anyway, I love first of all the effect of ice globes, and also the color and the compostion and the sparkle and the...

Well, what's NOT to love?

Wow! Excellent photo. The vivid blue of the sky reflecting through the ice, contrasting with the frozen red warmth of the encased plants really works well here.

This is pretty...in a sad way...{ imagining any harm the ice storm did to plant life, animals, etc. {bittersweet and beautiful!}

Cool! And I really mean that. Where I live they do that on purpose to protect apple and soft fruit buds, believe it or not the ice produces heat. If it freezes they just turn the sprinklers on. Nice work.

wow, that is one neat shot. Living in Canada I have never seen ice quite that thick. Great capture. Hope the ice wasn't TOO devastating.

I'm up near Clay Center. I remember that storm. NASTY! But we were clouded over then entire time. Check out my gallery for a shot called Frozen in time. One of the shots I took during that same storm. We went without power for two weeks. Camped out the family on the kitchen floor in front of the propane powered oven just to keep warm.
