Wonderful night shot. I was at Grand Central Station earlier this month & it's quite the busy place inside & out. Great colors & lighting ... the Chrysler Building adds to the background. Very well done.
Christina, long time no see. :)
Love the angle on the building and the positioning of the eagle in the foreground. The tip of the Chrysler building is missing (Or is just cropped too close to the top of the picture.) which lowers the impact somewhat. I wouldn't be surprised if this worked well with that entire building cloned out, the dramatic angle on the Grand Central building is great on it's own.
You did a good job of capturing the massive, solid feeling of the building in this image. Your use of the low-level upwards-looking perspective really helped that a lot. The colors in this one are also very rich, and the railing along the lower edge of the image creates an intriguing texture.
The angle of the background building is a bit unsettling. Perhaps that was necessary give the use of the low, near perspective, but nevertheless it is. Overall I'd say I like this image. Keep them coming, and Thanks!
Pretty cool, and w/b! I would like to see more detail on this, but it's agreat shot. I'm sure you threw in the building to give it a sense of being in N.Y. It's an over all decent comp.
i love the lighting in this
the gloom of the building makes the eagle look really creepy
and the chrysler building lights look really good on the dark background
i would love to go to America some day!
