Very creative here. I love the texture used and the shadowing really has created a great picture. Lovely work from you in this picture. Looks great full screen. Nice for a desktop. High marks from me Cindy..;)
I like the lone candle effect here, Cindy. It's balanced by the vertical, uh, thing - on the left, and the neutral palatte is very soothing. I also like the way you put the two main image elements at the 1/3 position. It is very pleasing to the eye. The blur effect, though I find a little disturbing. Not much - just a little.
Cindy, this is very nice. I like the technique that you used. Looks mysterious, just like the title suggests..., btw, you're very creative with your titles.
I like the candle and the texture effect .. but .. I'm confused by the other details in the shot .. I would like to see other candleworks
in other news
one year, in colorado, our first snow came a week or so early and the trees had more leaves than they would've .. all the trees caught, and held, massive amounts of snow and snapped .. trees all across the metro denver area were down, broken fences, tangled powerlines .. people without power for a week while work crews tried to clear the mess
I was without power for thirty six hours and I would read a book (to keep from going crazy) with a candle on my chest .. each breath I took the candle would rise and fall .. and .. at one particularly engrossing part of the narrative .. the hot wax decided to head south
adding to your long list of comments ;-)
I don't know much about the technical side of photography but I know what pleases my eye....Your photo does that!...silent...still...dark...warm...peaceful...inviting...mysterious... I love all the sensations it gives. Great work and great eye! Thanks for sharing!
Here is another example of your unique creativity. I can’t help wondering how it would look without the texture over the candle. That’s not a critique, just pondering.
Keith’s story explains the permanent bemused expression :-)
