This is a closer look at the beautifully intricate doors at the front of Mission San Jose. Again, I had to clone out a sign on the door and bring up the contrast because the sun did its best to wash out all the details, lol. This was a SCORTCHING hot summer day, lol. Comments welcome as always:)

Thanks so much for posting this, Jessica. Now that we can see the door so much more closely it's easier to pick out all the intricacies that were hard to see from further away and this building deserves all the attention you've paid it. You've also done a great job with the over exposure that you've spoken of because the details are very prominent and easy to see :)

A very ornate and detailed entry and you have captured it quite well. Your alterations aren't even noticeable.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

What a beautiful doorway, I am not sure which part of it I like the most. The carvings are amazing, but so is the stonework. This is going right into my faves.
