A yellow rose from Texas perhaps, Jess? lol Okay maybe it's not a rose but it sure is gorgeous and the back ground looks great as well! Nicely done!! C):-)

Splendido, Jes! This looks like a shrub and a very beautiful one it must be to have such wonderful flowers on it as these.

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

Wow...straight to my faves. I am disappointed in this c-index, but then I haven't been too happy about that issue lately anyway. This is fabulous, and I love the color on it. I'm not sure what effect you used on the background...it almost looks like a plastic-type effect, but it's not overdone in any sense of the word and it makes this an even more interesting pic, if that's possible. Very, very well done to my eye....hope I get it in the voting booth :)
