While in Interlaken, Switzerland, I took a cruise across Interlaken West (the west of the two lakes there), and enjoyed some grub while along for the ride through the blizzard-like snow. I had my first ever bowl of Goulash stew and loved it. When I was done, I looked down and saw this and thought it would make for a cool picture!

the spoon looks wiped clean..hmm.. abit dull though..maybe a bit of color thrown in wld haf helped..better luck next time :)

I don't think the picture captured what you saw. The background is pretty dull. I wonder if a closer-up shot of the bowl would have helped - emphasized the red against the white, etc. The lighting is not great either, the inside of the bowl is too shadowy for us to appreciate the colors there (if that is what caught your eye).

I think I know what you were going through :) Your stomach was warm and full; that wonderful taste of goulash, your first ever, was still on your tongue; you could still smell it in the air and when you looked at the empty bowl, you had all these other sensations processing at the same time. We need to find a site with more stimuli than just the eyes for a shot such as this :) PJ
