Another macro from Camp Casey Beach, Whidbey Island, WA. I liked the marbled textures and color variations in the main central stone, as well as the granular texture of the sand.
Another proof for my thesis that I will defend fiercely and forever. Participation in and/or at least visiting Caedes enriches and improves one's mind sooo much. I for instance just discovered that this [geology, minerals etc] is one of the fields I must study !!! Thanks, dear friend.
I didn't know there were so many varieties of marble. This is so pretty. I especially love the lines running thru it. I would just love to visit this area just to find some of these lovelies. Thank you so much for posting something so unique. I like the way you took the photo...very nice..Verena
After reading the other comments I wonder if you edited your description. I would like to have known some interesting facts about minerals.
I like the textures and colors and find the shot aesthetically pleasing. Good clarity and all that but I think I like "Dappled" a little better with all the little stones instead of sand. Although I think the composition on this one is more pleasing to me because it's a bit more macro than the other one. They're both good though.
