This is a picture of the sky on a cloudy day. I thought the sky looked neat. This is my first upload, so bear with me. Please take the time to vote. It really helps!

You're right - neat textures, vaguely threatening. Good capture!

I like it - good photo - definately looks moody - looks like the sky in London over the winter (when it isn't raining) Well Done.

I saw clouds churning like this in Kansas City and they had a tornado later that day. Good first upload. Nice tones and highlights.

Great Pic. These types of clouds do signal severe weather with hail likely. Just thought I'd share that!?

I think they're called mammatus. They are associated with cumulonimbus clouds, and severe thunderstorms - and sometimes even tornadoes. Nice Shot!

Yes they are called mammatus, however they usually appear after a storm has already passed. Thunderstorms and hail are associated with rising air. These clouds are formed when the air is sinking, thus you get the bubbly appearance.
