This is sooooo ingredibly odd. But I can't help but like it. I like the how you did the lighting on this. I wonder what it would look like if you used a 16:9 crop leaving only the face of the doll that is in the cage in the right hand side of the photo. I hope this is a series. It's delightfully creepy.
I appreciate the artistic quality of this but do not really like it. Indeed, how the white peoples historically have treated people of other color is appalling but I do not care for violence (hence the baseball bat) or vindictiveness. I hope you are not offended by my honesty as I am not by yours.
thank you ladyhawk53. My image is not about what it appears, it is not about race. I use the pickaninie doll because it is a taboo image, as mental illness is also taboo. All my images deal with my mental illness and this image deals with me taking back the normality that the stigma of mental illness has taken from me.
