Each petal is like a layer of wedding cake icing. I am surprised that are no bees around this beauty.

Good lighting and focus in this close up which displays the beauty of these little blossoms. I did not realize just how pretty they are up close.There was not much greenery about in the part of the city I lived as a young child but there were a few hawthorn bushes and hedges. Thanks for the memories of munching on their 'Bread & Cheese'leaves on my way to school :)
