Hi Geri, very nice photograph of a beautiful bird. You have the swan in lower left part of composition with pond taken up most of photo...sort of directs eye to the pond which is natural environment which this swan lives... were there other swans in this pond and were they BLACK? ...gerry...

Exciting capture G!! Very proud and elegant swan!!
Personally, I like the overall comp and placement of the swan...makes for a nice desktop wallpaper (for people who have icons on the right side)!! I might have cropped out a wee bit at the top (the greenery), but still would've had plenty of pond left.

Love this bird. I remember the first time I saw one - it was in Australia. We called them ruffly-butt swans because the feathers in the back don't lay smoothly.
