This stature is located in downdtown Sarasota,Fld..It was made after WWII. I believe it was featured in Life magazine at the time. The height of it (about 25 feet, made it tricky to photo) but the detail is incredulous!!
huh! That was the life of nurses back then. They gotta make a statue of them nowdays (fat with baggy pants and no make up!!!!!!!). No offense, my own mom is a nurse. Great shot by the way.

it was made at the ringling school of art, for the art on the bay thingy they have for 6 mouths every year. sadly to say its not there anymore but the city of Sarasota is going to have it remade out of steel and painted. then put back, i guess the same spot to stay forever.
