Very nice composition and clarity, Carl. What time of day was this one shot? It seems to be a bit on the red, so I assume the sun is low in the sky. I think this one is my favourite from your trip so far. Nice capture:-)
thanks,um, it was really only around 4 in the afternoon, but everything still had a bit of red in it anyways. at the begining of march in the mountains 4 isnt really all that early, but i'm really surprised how well this turned out, i didnt really think about it too much, i just kinda snapped it, yet it turned out to be one of the best. i took an almost exactly similar one, except at f/2.8 its nowhere near as nice ;)
But words are things, and a small drop of ink, falling, like dew, upon a thought produces that which makes thousands, perhaps millions think and smile.
Art is everywhere, except it has to pass through a creative mind.
What's up with the 80 c-index? I don't get it. This image has lovely composition, rich colors, and very smooth lighting. I gotta wonder sometimes about people. Carl, this shot is beautiful. 10 from me.
Hey there...what an amazing photo this is! The cold feeling of the snow and ice and the warm feeling of the browns...absolutely wonderful... I love how the snow 'bunches up' at the base of the shrubs..and then of course there is the grand reflection of the tree...this could not be a better photo!! I had not seen this before until it passed for voting today..bravo on this! verena
Carl - What else can I say, except nice shhot. This composition looks like its postcard ready. If it had a duck in the stream, it would be made into a stamp for Ducks Unlimited. I am glad you went camping and brought your camera. Do More please.
One caveat though ... yeah, happenz ... your border is just a tad bit busy for me. The quality of the image is so great, leave it alone!!! (JOKe.) I can see how the mood and look can be influenced by this element. So, as an alternative? Hmm, not sure, I like the tones and colours you extracted and put into the border, the texture and pattern is the 'busy' stuff for me.
The 'simplicity' of the image, that I perceive, is at odds with it, there, 'simple' :P.
