How much better this picture would have been in the olde world days of yore, before mechanisation in this instance made harvesting an extremely efficient exercise at the expense of manpower, community spirit, hard work, and a few jars at the local pub ,after the gathering.

Very nice...there is so much work & dedication that goes into the harvest season, especially in the olde days. I like the image very much since I am a country gal. Wouldn't have it any other way. Well done.

You're right, haystacks would,ve looked nice, I too have a sentiment for old.
But this is really nice picture, very nicely composed, I like the perspective you show, and it has good depth of field. Have to admit, the hay rolls look very photogenic.
