Well, the B & W ... combined with your subject matter does indeed convey an emotion. A state, if you will.

Being frank here, 'dessicated' came to mind as a descriptor.

Certainly focusses your viewer's eyes right onto the 'puffs'. With a bonus of some nice DOF. Liking that aspect.

And the power of suggestion is at work with my next words, since your accompanying words in your narrative lead me to suggest, inquire, request ... a look see at the colour version?

If you would be so kind.

Might be a cookie or two ... or ... a chocolate Easter bunny, sans ears. (Sorry, my soft spot when it comes to those ... must ... must..eat..ears. :oP)

And on that note, Happy Holiday Weekend. Hope you have some sunshine falling your way. :o)

Annnnd ... but of course, thank you for sharing AND daring to be different. I like this one. :o)

Somehow this seems menacing to me. The blacks are so dark, and the b/w effect really brings out the chaotic texture of the puffs. I'm intrigued as well about what the color version looks like. My hunch is that b/w gives it an entirely new feel. Creative work!

I guess I'd rather see the colored version. What type of bush or tree are these on, if you know? Nice angle on the branch.

A plant or creature from a galaxy far far away? Or not! Nice B&W for stimulating the imagination.
