Camerama, I must confess, I had a hard time finding an image for you, seeing as how your not a flower person. But I finally settled on this beauty. Hopefully you'll like the simple arrangment. And thanks for being my nutty friend here on Caedes and taking the time to look at my photos even though they're not your cup of tea. I really appreciate your comments!

A simply beautiful desktop, Alyssa! The rose bud is perfectly shot and the choice of color and display really sets it off quite beautifully. Wonderful image!

You will be led to the knowledge of the internal things which are invisible to you, by the external things which you see before you. . . . Even so then, we can represent to ourselves in thought the Author of all that is, by contemplating and admiring the (visible) things which He has made, and ever brings into being. - Hermes

I love this one; two next to each other, one blossomed and one isn't. Very very nice.

Aw shucks (does anyone besides me say that anymore?) Subtle and simple, but still a little different from the masses. I like how the background isn't completely black and fades to purple, pulling the color beyond the frame of the shot. Meanwhile, you've chosen to fade the frame itself away, which is a nice touch too. I guess to sound artsy, I'd say that it softens the image rather than having the harsh frame lines against the soft organic shapes (sorry if it sounds like BS, but I mean it!) Thanks for the tribute, I really appreciate it :)

Every day you may make progress. Every step may be fruitful. Yet there will stretch out before you an ever-lengthening, ever-ascending, ever-improving path. You know you will never get to the end of the journey. But this, so far from discouraging, only adds to the joy and glory of the climb. - Churchill

A very nice shot Alyssa!

I also like how the one open rose is sitting next to the bud. It is almost like it is protecting it, comforting it, re-assuring it that in time, it will bloom as well. It's an emotionally sweet shot. I normally don't like pink, but I like this. Roses are pink naturally, (At least some) so this is okay! = - ] What is your new avatar. That face looks familiar.

Caiden.

Great capture of this rose bud. It is at that perfect stage of opening. I especially like the duality of the unopened bud nestled right next to it. Very tasteful and classy. Good color, good quality, great composition and fine clarity. Thank you for sharing this with me. Right to my favorites it goes ;=)

Great composition and excellent use of a short DOF make this a great background. The treatment you've used here makes for a nice desktop!

Job well done, thanks for sharing!
