i think the human eye expects the foreground to be in the focus more often than the background
in this case youve got focus riiiiiight at the back leaving more of the field (no pun in 10 did ;) ) out of focus
whith something like this a classic DOF study you might try to control the aperture so that you get some 1/3rd's going on
1/3rd foreground out of focus
the next 1/3rd in focuse
last (top of pic at the back) 1/3rd out of focus again
basically play with it
doesnt have to be 1/3rds ... rules are made to be bent/broken
that said ... a 100% in focus field would have been good too :)
love the natural textures and rich slightly yellow colours ... gives the impression of a long summer's day
