My favorite coins bear Adolph A. Weinman's Liberty Walking design that first appeared on the half-dollar that replaced the unpopular Barber design. When the US started producing bullion coins, Weinman's design was chosen for the obverse of the larger silver eagle.

Enjoy

Silver is the place to be, especially before 1965. This is a great macro, Don.

Wow this is gorgeous. Evidently you collect these beauties. It used to be coins could not be posted publicly..I'm so glad you can do it now tho. Is this coin in some kind of 'holder'? I love how the coin shines, good lighting. Thank you again. Verena
