Chamisa or Rabbitbrush is the silver-blue, narrow-leaved, deciduous shrub that is responsible for that soft green hue that air passengers see as they fly over New Mexico. The pungent, pale yellow flowers bloom on new growth.

I like this series of flowers from New Mexico a lot. This is beautiful and I agree that the backdrop makes them stand out.
