I thought Rawhide was back on. A great capture, It's not often you see a cattle drive thru downtown. Where's the cowboys???
Well done. Rollin' Rollin' Rollin'
That's funny. I was wondering if they still did that when I saw the thumbnail, but I guess these cattle will never see Witchita!
Clever take, Don. That Dallas sky is so pretty too.
another interesting one of that... even a little stream for them to walk through! i like seeing the big skyscraper there too.. this anywhere near southfork then?! :-)
This is a really interesting shot. Infact it reminds me of when our local farmer used to steer his cattle up our street. We kids used to shout "Stampede!" and then go running up our paths to the relative safety of our back yards!!! Just to find one followed me one day!!! Great capture Don and thanks for bringing back old memories!

Gosh, I had to look twice to realize this was a sculpture!! What a great shot, and I love that Dallas has these cattle "forever"....I would love to be standing next to them..would feel great. I love the shot..with the contrast of the feeling of the cattle drive and those skyscrapers against the bloo sky...very very nice. I'm so glad you posted this. Takes me home. I lived a few miles North of Dallas for a while. And then of course, East..in Louisiana...thanx Don...Verena
Here it is, my 1000th comment. Thought it should go to you Don, you been a great colleague and a great friend.
Love the composition, the colors are wonderful too. The blending here of old with the new helps connect the modern with your state's illustrious past. Kudos!
