I really enjoy the idea of these sorts of shots. I've experimented myself with the layers of hills fading into the distance. If this were my shot, I probably would have done a few things differently. Personally I don't care for the dark foliage in the foreground. While it does add a layer, I feel like it's distracting. The large conifer on the left feels intrusive. Secondly I feel like you could get away with cropping out part of the sky. My Caedes friends are always reminding me to minimize the amount of sky unless it adds drama to the shot. You have to admit that the sky is pretty bland and less than dramatic. In the VB I'd give this one a 6 for whatever that's worth.
