Taken Sept. 2002 . Went Sailing off San Diego with friends and cruised by this buoy off Ocean Beach. These California Sealions were barking and a little startled but stayed on their float...

Did'nt get to stop as we were under full sail. But I could have jumped onto the buoy ..that's how close we were.

Wow Doug - simply amazing shot and story. A friend of mine has an O'Day sailboat and there is nothing like the side of the boat skimming the water is it?- Great capture of these cuties!

Too cute! Just adorable they way they're all up there on the buoy. Love the colors as well, the way the blue water contrasts with the re buoy and sealions. Great shot.

Buoy Oh Bouy ... you captured a grand shot with this one. We get the occasional sea lion off Long Island here on the East Coast. Never had the opportunity to photograph one, let alone five, but should I ever have such good fortune, I hope I get a shot half as good as this one. Just GREAT!
