Why do the pictures come out square when the lens is round??
A very good example of how a good good coloured flame (with texture) can be converted to B & W.
And in doing so ... not only survive the conversion, as well, up the 'oomph' factor.

Wow ... I love this! The B & W really brought out the textures nicely as was demonstrated in the color version also. Bill, your spirals always amaze me. Excellent work & best of luck.

The thing with fractals b&w is very hard to get it to work.. you Sir Billiam have succeeded... beautiful sharp clear detail.. perfect spirals.. and looks fantastic as b&w... well done.. all the best in the contest...
