Yesterday was the first day in weeks to experience some overcast skies in this part of Florida, so I visited a State Park a two minute walk away from where I'm vacationing. This picnic area is on a strip of sand with the above waterway on one side and the sea close by on the other. I would have loved to capture a view showing water on both sides but I would have had to jump forty feet in the air to do it and for me it was only a twenty foot day. So I had to settle for these twin roofs with a serendipitous seagull between them.

Very nice capture of some lovely colours, love the gray colored trees, and the light in this photo is beautiful. All though the sky is overcast as you say it as a lovely soft blue look to it.

The brush and tree along the right border makes it a bit messy and confusing, Ed. Cropping the sky down to just above the crotch, and in from the left border to the skinny straight tree removes a lot of distracting influences.
By the way. The White roofs aren't for reflective purposes. In Florida, it's done to simulate Snow, and make you feel at Home :-).

When I first saw this shot, Ed, I thought you WERE back home. The white roofs and the white sand remind me of snow. I think that you're definitely showing just how homesick you must be. Wipe those homesick tears from your eyes and head over to the nearest grocery store. Slip the butcher $5 and he'll let you stand in the meat locker for a couple of hours. :-)

I'm glad that I got here after Doug did. He sees things that no normal mortal would ever notice. Perhaps the brush on the right is a tad distracting, but it's nothing that I couldn't live with.

I'd give the shot a solid "6". There seems to be some noise in the sky. I'd give you a solid "9" for being able to jump 20 feet in the air.

I'm not afraid of dying. I just don't want to be there when it happens.
