This is an ancient fort in Puerto Rico with not-so-ancient additions. The two high bunkers that look like backward E's were built onto the original fort during World War I, an event which enhanced the fort's desirability. The defending wall came out a bit dark but I hope the over all image is of sufficient interest to warrant a place in this distinguished company. All critiques welcomed. Well, most anyway.

Those damn Puerto Ricans certainly were war mongers in their time. In a hundred years, photographers from Canada will be taking shots like this of the U.S. "Here's Fort Los Angeles." "This is a shot of Fort Chicago". We'll be a third world country but without the pleasant weather and the white sandy beaches.

I like the angle you chose for your shot with the railing on the right leading us right up to the fort. I love the colors and the overall scenery. However, your last few shots have looked a little soft in the focus as if you have a very slightly foggy filter or some Saran wrap over the lens. It looks like you're not sucking in all the detail that's there. If I was a co-owner of Nikon and Canon like you, I'd spring for a better filter.

Morro comes to mind, but it's been a long time since I built it.
Might even have been in another life.
Again, nice composition, though I think I'd clone over that railing and the various antennae so it looks it's age.

Nice angle you took this shot from plus very nice colours and light and thanks for the history on this interesting looking building.
