Yes, I know there's a person in it, but that house is so beautiful that I had to post this! It's just tiny bit crooked too, but I'm still new at this whole photography thing. :) Anyway, I had to walk up a ton of steps to take a picture of it, but I'm guessing it gets wonderful views of the St. Croix River. I reworked this one here.

Be aware that the answers to all you are seeking are within you.
That's a great shot of a wonderful old house. It's really easy to straighten images and, with a little practice, quite easy to retouch out things you don't want in them. The person on the ladder could be completely absent with about 5 minutes work. Give it a try!

Having a person in a photo can give a photo a sense of perspective & as for it being crooked not everything straight in real life & i think adds to the shot
