Another summer photo. I didn't know what gallery to put this one in exactly. It's the Union at my college. The stone color used for the fountain is called Tuxedo Grey. I learned that in my Building Science class so I just thought I'd share.

I'd guess architecture would be a good place to put this :) I love the various blues (excuse me..ahem..Tuxedo Greys) and the highlights of water as they hit the pool ... Are they lit from above or below? The angle is very good here and that counts towards your excellent composition. You've also created an interesting perspective as we travel from the foreground to the background with the waterspouts and the way they're drawn into the tight closure toward the back. However, I am seeing a slight blur overall, due maybe to motion? It's a very nice post, and I'm glad you shared it with us :)PJ

Not being a Kent State (is it Kent State?) alumna, the background isn't anywhere near as interesting to me as the lovely fountain with the wonderful colors and glorious symmetry. I wonder if you have considered heavily misting the background in a white with the faintest trace of grey in it..so make the story be all about the fountains? (I'd use a lighter mist on the gray concrete and steps). The spray feature on most photo editors can do this sort of thing. I'd also consider cloning out the sign on the fountain wall. Nice pic!
