This is one of my studies of doing "False Sunsets" as you can see the sun was still fairly high above the horizon. I simply shut down the cameras aperature and cranked up the shutter speed and aimed it right at the sun. It is something I have used when I haven't been patient enough to wait for the real thing. Hope you enjoy.

Wow, I really like this one. Sunsets are beutiful to begin with, but having a silhoette, especially one with interesting contours, makes for a lot of added interest. Good going!
