Lovely shot Deborah..the colours are very nice..If I had to make a suggestion, Crop around the the centre flower, so that is the main focus of attention. That way the your eye will not stray to the smaller flower, and the lovely yellow will be at full size on your screen!

I think that smaller flowers and leaves around make this picture more interesting. There's more to look at. I like it, nice yellow and green.

I am sure I would like either way but it might be interesting to try Bob's suggestion - just curiosity I mean and not to improve because as it is the explosion is expressed in the best manner !

Very nice picture. The yellow flowers with the dark background really make this work. Good clarity as well which is necessary in any good shot.
