One of the things I like about winter is night. The moon shines on the snow illumintating the world with a silver light. All is peaceful and quiet it is a refuge for the soul from our busy lives
Love.. the shadow of the tree in the foreground. And how it's visual presence within frame contrasts/coalesces into the sharper lines of the tree itself.
Thank you :) I am glad you like. I had to wait to take this pic last winter we had no snow to speak of so I had to wait. Last night we finally had no clouds the moon was out so clad only in my nighty winter jacket and boots I went out and finally got my shot :D
This is a wonderful capture of this night scene. The stars and sparkling ground make for one special image. Well done! Fav'd and thank you for sharing! Ann
Wonderfully magical. Photographs with moon are usually very difficult to do - so I commend you on that; also, the snow sparkling at the bottom and the stars at the top are setting my soul on fire - I absolutely love it. The shadows from the tree create an excellent sense of balance to the tree itself; and finally, the colors - perfect, I get a feel of civilization near, but not too near. Thank you so much for posting this.
Outstanding image here!!!! Nicely laid out with echos of a cold Winter evening.Great colors and perspective with the shadow of the tree dancing on the lawn!!!!!
My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
Thank you :) I am so happy I placed :D when I saw the cat. I knew instantly what picture I wanted to take for it. So happy the conditions were right although really cold lol
The reason why the sun sets in the evening is because it wants to see the sunrise in the morning. I rise in the morning because I want to see them both. RvdB
