"The Friars" is a group of rocky islands at the southern end of Bruny Island which is home to over 3,000 Australian fur seals. The noise is memorable and the smell is unforgettable.
I guess you are saying that if I go there, I will need a clothespin for my nose, right? LOL. What a great shot. They look great on the rocks. I like some of the seals' expressions.
What is it about seals that always reminds of slugs..snail.!! Seals here in ORegon are so aggressive. They almost demand food!
And they are lazy and always greedy..lol.so I am not too fond of them. Maybe the seals in oz are better behaved? hehe Thanx for the shot tho...VerEna
It's a funny contrast- your description of the chaos of noise and smell and the image of lazy, peaceful snoozing. I love the uninviting landscape of their roost as well.
