The first truly railway town in New South Wales, Werris Creek enjoyed its heyday when steam was king. With the advent of diesel locos in the 60's, it went into decline. It is still an important railway junction and much effort has been put into restoring its impressive old buildings.

Very nice work here Frank. My dad was a fireman for the UPRR for 40 years so the railroad had always been special to me. We have a brand new railway station near here in Martinez, Ca. I'll get some pictures of it and post them later. Thanks for sharing this!!
