The sparse interior of the chapel in the cemetery at Durnstein, on the Danube in Austria, was a stark contrast to some of the lavish cathedrals I visited during my recent holiday. Yet I feel it's very simplicity had a beauty all of its own.

It reminds me of some of the churches I visited in Israel. Very nice, Frank.

This is an absolute stunner Frank. The gentle lighting shows all the details in the stonework. The little window with the red light is both beautiful and somewhat creepy.

This sort of thing appeals to me much more than ornate cathedrals. It is a down-to-business place...working with you and God and the deceased...doing the job. People here must realize that they have company throughout the ages. Photographically, I like the light emphasis, the sparse grace of the corner arch, and the rough walls...all give a great sense of place and time.

It might be simple, but the textures in the stones and the beautiful color are just superb Frank! A real beauty!

Hello Frank....In photography simplicity is sometimes the best and I have to say it works for this picture...That warm glow in the arched window draws the viewers eye right into the picture....Well done....All the best to you Frank......................................................Mick.
