I had fallen in love with this bridge the first time that I had seen a picture of it. Many years later, after a 14 hour flight and taxi ride to our hotel, we threw our bags into our room, grabed our cameras and captured this image. My wife and I then walked across this wonderful construction studying all of the detail in it's design. Then back to the hotel, a shower and some much needed sleep with good dreams of our night on the Tower Bridge.

Wonderful photo! There is a possibility that I will be working in London as an intern in Kew Gardens this summer. If I go I will make sure to visiti this breathtaking bridge!

That is a most wonderful photo of the tower bridge in London....I love the fact you use the star filter also with the lights...that makes it all so magical. I was born in germany..along with all the relatives I had...and then I lived in England for 2 yrs...so I got to see the bridge also, and the Thames River as well as Madame Toussouds House of Wax..and the Big Top Circus..I was only 10 and I will never forget it...you did this photo so well...!!!

I agree that it is one of the most beautifal bridges in the world. You have certainly captured it well here; the color seems a little washed out to me, but then maybe it just isn't a very colorful bridge.

i agree with sam about the colours, i know nightlight gives really harsh colours, but maybe its good to keep enough of them that it doesnt look unreal? i love the filter, and its neat how the different wavelengths are refracted different distances along the stars ;)

What an impressive shot! Wow, you really nailed it, Bob. I love the 4-ray cross-screen effect. Did you use a digital camera? The only thing that got flubbed here was the C-index - it seems quite under-exposed. Let's hope a well deserved 10 helps.

This is an amazing photo, I love the way you did it. I'm actually going to London this weekend so I came upon this shot while looking for inspiration and ideas of what I might capture over there. May I ask what type of filter makes the lights twinkle like that, and, if you don't mind, how much that filter costs (appx)? Hi thank you for showing this piece, I spent 3.5yrs in London and never saw London Bridge as crystal as this. Were you staying @ the Thistle hotel as the views from that hotel are from this aspect?
