That's what he was. Photographers best friend. I took tons of shot from about 20cm distance and he/she didn't even react in any way. Australia december 2006. Olympus C-5060.

Beautiful capture. I think this is a night active bird but I'm not sure. In any case it's probably relying heavily on it's camouflaging abilities to avoid being caught. If it's truly lazy would be hard to know but then he have my full sympathy. But then again, I would think the human is the only animal that "works" and thus the only one that really can be lazy...
