The ship being on the side doesn't bother me at all. In fact, it creates interest in an otherwise perspective only shot. The textures in the bricks are good, but we certainly lose clarity as we look toward the back at the people, which gives this an air of slight mystery as well.

The angle of your stance makes it look like the bridge leads straight into the water. I really like this shot. And I personally see nothing wrong w/ the ship on the left.
