I really like the colours, but it seems tilted to me. The tilt has an effect on the feel of the image. I don't know if this is what you were going for or not.

This is lovely....I especially like the tree branches against the sky because I think trees are their best in the winter. The color band between the grey and the red is especially attractive. I have a personal prejudice against a blast of white right in the center of a picture, but that's just me. Speaking of the sun, it looks square at the bottom and I wondered why...and I think I see why. There is a small band of white cutting through some of the branches to the left of the main tree. Since you are reworking, perhaps you'd like to try cloning back those branches and maybe defining the branches on the other side of the tree at the right "corner" of the sun...should take away that square appearance. All in all, this is a wonderful pic, the color gradations are perfect and the trees are first-rate!

The burst of light almost seems as though the tree has caught fire. Excellent shot.

It looks as if the trees caged the sun. Good job!
