It's a lovely shot, indeed! I like the composition, and the scene is very serene and relaxing.
This whole "HDR" thing is really new to me, and I'm not sure I really understand the purpose of it. I suppose it's kinda like "Technicolor" was when it first came out, but I wonder if all the extra "ooomph" or "emphasis" that it brings out is really necessary or appropriate in all circumstances.
Please don't take that as being critical of this image in particular, just a comment/question/head-scratch about the whole "HDR" phenomenon as a whole. I'm not a real big fan of "post-processing" so I guess part of me feels like if it was a great image to begin with, why do anything else to it?
All that said, it's a gorgeous image and well done!
thanx for your post beebs, well i know HDR for a little while now, but didn t know we didn t necessarly need three exposures etc but needed some kng of an HDR software, now tha i got one i change all my best shot into HDRs pictures, you know you ve got some diferent possibilities with it, you can at leas change just a bit the original piicture like you can completely change it, it depends what you want to, try it, i recommend it...
