Keep five yards from a carriage, ten yards from a horse, and a hundred yards from an elephant; but the distance one should keep from a wicked man cannot be measured.

This really strikes a chord in me... a vast land of tawny grass slow-dancing in the wind under an even more vast sky...

What I like about this photo is also the simplicity, but the fact there is a small breeze, the way the grasses and the flower are 'leaning' in one direction. Where I grew up once I came to America, there were huge areas just like this. You could hear the whisper of the breezes brushing the fields too.
I love the colour. Thoreau wrote "Simplicity is Elegance" Verena

"Well," said Pooh, "what I like best," and then he had to stop and think. Because although Eating Honey was a very good thing to do, there was a moment just before you began to eat it which was better than when you were, but he didn't know what it was called. ~A.A. Milne

The direction the wind is blowing adds a lot to this one. Going to the faves again.
