Found this little shed / barn thing down in the valley while hiking around. Though, it seemed to be all by itself. It would be interesting be have been around here when this area was in use by the original land owner. I wanted to investigate closer, but there were signs around urging to stay on the trail, figured I should obey.

This looks more like a small barn, but in the old days cowboys and herders had "line shacks" for use in the months when cattle or sheep were grazing in the mountains. Today they are more likely to be found in campers, or like the sheep herders I saw in Idaho last fall, living out of "gypsy wagons".

Oops, guess I should have also said it could be a barn and corral used for either hunting outfitters, summer trail ride outfitters, or possibly park department animals if you are in a national park area of some sort.
