I see what you found interesting in this capture. The image really came to life when I turned the lights off in my office and viewed it. The sky is the distracting part though. The house looks nice and cozy and intimate and the barely dusk sky above it just doesn't help this shot. You really had the right idea though and keep trying. Maybe shoot it with the focus lower sot here isn't any sky? Just an idea. Keep pointing the camera though. Thanks :!~)

Well, hey there! Where ya been?? I've missed your postings very much!! And I love the dark warm feeling from this picture. I have to agree with Mimi tho...that sky is just too light...to go with the rest of the feeling here. You could just "black out" the sky maybe? Other than that sky, the photo is just beautiful...and the way you have the tree at the right is perfect.

I think the lighting is what really stands out in this shot... you got great focus and some interesting lines around the door and lantern, but the overall effect is really enhanced by that soft glow. Very well done!

I'm sorry, I just can't get to 'into' this one. It's a little dark and the subject matter just isn't striking me. :(
