I was walking along the beach and found this piece of driftwood. I was really taken with the definition of the deep and colorful etiching of the grain combined with the cascade of plantlife that had grown there.

What a cool and very definitive title for this composition. I like that. I would have never thought of that title if I stayed up all night. The wood of the stump has been captured superbly. I love how the wood grainshows up along with it's various colors. I think I would have gone behind that stump and pulled up that green grass behind it to better accenuate the stump. The glades of grass back there steal the show a little bit. This is a very creative capture on your part. Good photographer's eye.

the shine and grain of the wood is great, it almost looks like stone! i might use this on my desktop for a while
