Outdoor macros are really had from me to get. The wind always seems to keep the shot from turning out. This one was taken on a still day. Not a lot of detail, but I kinda like the way there is only a small area of focus with lots of soft background.

Well, that would make sense if you focused on the part nearest you and it appears that this is a stalk and that's the end of it so the rest would be out of focus which is what you're aiming for, but I think I would have cropped it so that there is considerably less background and more of the subject drawing my attention. Do this again with a larger flower. Just my thoughts. Your other macros are super. Where those done indoors?

The subtle background makes this macro come to the forefront but agree with Cindy, a larger subject would be better to work on. Like the color and clarity of this in the foreground. Your posts are all very well done and thanks for sharing this one.

It makes me dizzy! I would like to see a little more focus on a little larger subject. Early morning or evening can usually get you a less windy time to take a standing still pic around here. Colors are good though. Jodie
